Tweaking Firefox to make it even better

Firefox is the most preferred browser for me.In fact if you are not using it , you are missing something. This articles explains about tweaking firefox to give much more performance than it actually does. Some simple changes to the firefox configuration can make firefox considerably faster.

Open Firefox 1.0 and in the address bar type: about:configff.JPG

1. Find network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true
2. Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click on it and change it from 4 to 100

This makes FF use 8 threads to each page..  You can see the difference after this change.

If you can’t do this for yourself try FasterFox. A complete tweaking software for firefox. Some of the features of fasterfox are Dynamic Prefetching of links using the idle Bandwidth to load your pages faster, Network tweaking settings like Pipelining, Cache , DNS Cache and initial Paint delay. A popup blocker  is also included with fasterfox.
